Liane Bahler

Liane Bahler (born January 22, 1982 in Kirchheim ; † July 4, 2007 near Rudolstadt ) was a German racing cyclist . She was the German junior road champion in 1999 and 2000.

Liane Bahler started cycling in 1996 and became a junior German champion. In 2002 she won a stage at the Tour de l'Aude in the national team under national coach Jochen Dornbusch . She won the junior class in this race. In 2002, she took part in the women's Tour de France as a guest driver for the Nürnberger Equipe . From 2003 to 2005 she was under contract with the Nürnberger Equipe and during this time she became, among other things, German Mountain Champion 2003. In 2006 she switched to the Dutch Therme Skin Care team before moving to Fenixs in 2007 .

She died in a traffic accident on July 4, 2007 while driving to the airport in her car.
