Gabi Habetz celebrated her first successes on the track . In 1976 she was runner-up in the sprint , and third in 1977, 1979 and 1980. She was also third in the single pursuit in 1980 . In 1981 she won the title of German road racing champion.
Gabi Habetz is the sister of Beate Habetz , who was also active as a cyclist. She is married to the former cyclist Werner Wüller .
