The team's second name sponsor, the bike manufacturer Koga , was replaced by the oil and gas company Argos, which also financed the men's team, as announced on March 30, 2012.

Until then, the women's team was called Skil 1t4i . 1t4i stands for the basic values to which the two teams are committed according to the operator: "Team Spirit, Inspiration, Integrity, Improvement, Innovation" (English, German, team spirit , inspiration , integrity , improvement, innovation ). After the announcement of the new main sponsor, the team was initially called Skil-Argos . After Alpecin withdrew , the tour operator Sunweb became the sole name sponsor in 2017. At the end of the season the team, as well as the men's team of Team Sunweb, was world champion in the team time trial . Sunweb finished the season in second place in the UCI world rankings .

In the UCI Women's WorldTour 2018 , the team finished third and in 2019 second. For the 2010 season, Sunweb was registered as a German team with a license as a UCI Women's WorldTeam .
