Ribes de Freser is a municipality in the Spanish Pyrenees at 912 m above sea level with 1754 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019). It is located north of Ripoll , at the confluence of the Freser , Rigard and Segadell near the Vall de Núria in the Comarca of Ripollès in Catalonia .

Transport links

Ribes de Freser is on the N-152 road that connects Ripoll with Puigcerdà and continues to the French border.

Ribes de Freser train station is on the Barcelona - Puigcerdà - Latour-de-Carol line , served by the Barcelona S-Bahn . Selected trains of the R3 line also run from Vic via Ribes de Freser to Latour-de-Carol (France), where there is a connection to several French railway lines.

Ribes Vila de Cremallera de Núria station

Next to the Ribes de Freser train station (the RENFE ) is the Ribes-Enllaç train station (the FGC ), which is the final stop of the Cremallera de Núria , a cogwheel railway with which the high valley Vall de Núria can be reached.
