The Göttingen Jewish Cemetery in Göttingen ( Lower Saxony ) is a protected cultural monument .

The well-preserved cemetery is located southwest of the old Göttingen judicial linden tree in the immediate vicinity of the former place of execution , today directly on the street “An der Rechtslinde” near the border with the Grone district . The oldest of the 437 preserved tombstones dates from 1701, the youngest from 1975. It is therefore assumed that the cemetery was founded in the 17th century, and the cemetery was later expanded. To the south and west is the area of the Göttingen city cemetery , which was developed around 200 years later .
