Jewish cemetery (Geismar)
The Geismar Jewish cemetery is located on Trift / Duderstädter Landstrasse in the southernmost part of the Lower Saxony university town of Göttingen .
The 430 m² Jewish cemetery in Geismar , on which no gravestones have survived, was "abandoned in 1937 , the gravestones were removed and the area raised." Between 1960 and 1965 (not, as can be read in some sources, 1995) a memorial stone was erected on the site. Another memorial stone in front of the cemetery on Duderstädter Landstrasse was inaugurated on March 15, 1996.
