The Herrlisheim-près-Colmar Jewish cemetery is located in the French commune of Herrlisheim-près-Colmar in the Haut-Rhin department in Alsace . It was established in 1794 or 1804 and contains around 700 graves. The cemetery has been registered as a monument historique since 2004 .
The cemetery has been the target of anti-Semitic attacks several times . In August 1992 almost 200 tombstones were knocked over and some of them broke. The last attack occurred on April 30, 2004. A large number of gravestones and memorial plaques were smeared with swastikas and anti-Semitic and National Socialist messages.
