The Jewish cemetery in Heusenstamm , a town in the Offenbach district in southern Hesse , was laid out in 1669. The Jewish cemetery north of the city in the middle of the forest, immediately south of the federal highway 3 , is a protected cultural monument .

In 1669, Melchior Friedrich von Schönborn gave the Jews in Heusenstamm a piece of land to build a cemetery. The cemetery was occupied by the Jewish communities in Dietzenbach , Hainhausen , Jügesheim , Obertshausen and Weiskirchen .

At the entrance to the cemetery there is a memorial stone with Hebrew and German inscriptions and the year 5617 and 1857, respectively. In that year the wall was built around the cemetery.

In the front part of the cemetery there are older tombstones . The last burials took place in 1936 and 1938.

In 1938, SA men destroyed or knocked over the cemetery wall and numerous gravestones. The wall was rebuilt in 1954 by the city of Heusenstamm.
