Brauneberg Jewish cemetery

The Jewish cemetery Brauneberg is a cemetery in the local community Brauneberg in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The Jewish cemetery is located in the forest south of the Brauneberg community near the Burgen community . It can be reached from Brauneberg via the county road  87 towards Burgen.

The cemetery, which was laid out in 1856 and occupied from 1864 to 1941, has 57 tombstones . Jews from Mülheim were also buried in the cemetery. During the Nazi era - 1936 - the cemetery was desecrated . In the summer of 1950 it was restored by the Brauneberg community.
