Jürgen Boss

Jürgen Boss (born May 1, 1947 in Schorndorf ) is a German musician. He mainly plays blues and rock and roll music.

In 1964 he was a co-founder of his first band "The Stares" with appearances in various live clubs in southern Germany. He also earned a place in supporting programs for beat greats such as The Lords , The Rattles and The Liverbirds . The reputation of the Bundeswehr caused the Stares to be dissolved. At the beginning of 1969 Jürgen Boss played with the band “Fellows” from Esslingen am Neckar and from 1971 with “ Fate ” from Kirchheim / Teck . From 1972 to 1974 he was a member of the Stuttgart formation “Parchman Farm” and in 1973 also gave guest appearances in “Stoned War” and “Mammut”, both also from Stuttgart.

The J. Boss Blues Band was formed in 1974. This was followed by national appearances in alternating line-ups, mainly in jazz clubs. This formation also appeared again and again on the stages of various festivals and open airs. During this time there were appearances as a backing band for Errol Dixon, Eddie Taylor & Louis Meyers, Jim Kahr (ex John Lee Hooker Band) and Judy Cheeks. J.Boss also performed in a duo with Henry Cray, pianist of the blues legend Sonny Boy Williamson II . In 1983 the name was changed to J. Boss Band , as the band's musical direction tended away from the blues towards rock 'n' roll. 1984 in preliminary programs for Eric Burdon and the Puhdys , as well as a Germany tour with the British formation Dr. Feel good . Until 1986 guest performances with the band "Hoola Man Doola" from Ludwigsburg , as well as concerts with Savoy Brown Blues Band and a tour of Germany with Bo Diddley . In the same year J. Boss composed and played the soundtrack for the film "Unter weitem Himmel" by Olaf Zierl. 1993 Supporting act for Rory Gallagher, Saxon and Nine Bellow Zero . 1994 tour of France (clubs). Countless club gigs, festivals and biker meetings followed.
