Jürgen Feder
Jürgen Feder (* 1960 in Flensburg ) is a German botanist , author and editor of the Bremen Botanical Letters .
Life
After graduating from high school, Feder completed an apprenticeship as a landscape gardener and then studied in Hanover to become a qualified engineer for landscape management , flora and vegetation . After that, he worked for a long time as an independent state caretaker and chief plant mapper with a focus on plant, animal and biotope types. In addition, he planned and maintained nature reserves. From 2002 he worked as a landscape gardener again and worked in a gardening company until 2013 . In his spare time he volunteered as a plant mapper for the Lower Saxony State Agency for Water Management, Coasts and Nature Conservation and for several decades he had a hobby with the recording of wild plants, especially in northern Germany . In 2008 he founded the Bremen Botanical Letters , whose editor and publisher he is to this day. He also wrote more than 600 specialist floristic articles.
After becoming known through television appearances such as the NDR ( NaturNah 2013, and as a one-hour portrait Die Nordstory: Unterwegs mit dem Pflanzenjäger , 2015) and ProSieben ( TV total 2013), he started his own business as an excursion guide and lecturer in botany. He lives in Bremen and Berlin .
