Jürgen Götz

Jürgen Götz (born August 11, 1967 in Würzburg ) has been the First Mayor of the Veitshöchheim community since 2014 and is known throughout Germany for his presence at Carnival in Franconia .

Live and act

He attended the primary and secondary school in Veitshöchheim and then the Jakob-Stoll-Realschule in Würzburg. In 1985 he began training as a technical draftsman .

He did his basic military service with the medical battalion 12 in the Balthasar Neumann barracks in Veitshöchheim. He then completed his training as a state-certified technician specializing in mechanical engineering. Then he worked as a designer, project manager and site manager.

Political career

In 1999 Götz joined the CSU and in 2002 he was elected to the Veitshöchheim municipal council. On May 1, 2014, the municipality was elected mayor. He thus succeeded Rainer Kinzkofer , who had been mayor for 24 years. At the same time he became a member of the district council in the district of Würzburg .

Television appearances

Since he has been mayor, he has been sitting at the Prime Minister's table at “Fastnacht in Franconia” with the director . In 2018 he played the opening song himself with the saxophone .
