Jürgen Hemmerling
Jürgen Hemmerling (born September 22, 1951 ) is a former German middle -distance runner who specialized in the 1500 meter distance and started for the GDR .
At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1973 in Rotterdam, he was fourth.
At the end of 1971 he was GDR champion in cross-country running on the short distance. Over 1500 m, he was GDR runner-up outdoors in 1972 and runner-up indoors in 1972 and 1973.
Jürgen Hemmerling started for the ASK Vorwärts Potsdam .
