Jürgen Hoops from Scheeßel
Jürgen Hoops of Scheeßel (born Jürgen Hoops * 25. June 1958 in Harburg ) is a German ancestors and local historian , chronicler , a career officer and book and novelist .
Life
Hoops von Scheeßel grew up in Scheeßel in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district , lives and has two sons. Lütke Hopes, the oldest ancestor of his paternal line, was first mentioned by name in the parish of Scheeßel in 1536 .
Act
His books and articles on local history concentrate - like those of the pastor and local researcher Heinrich Hoops zu Grambke and Mittelbüren - on the Elbe-Weser area, with a focus on the former Rotenburg office, which roughly corresponded to today's Rotenburg (Wümme) district.
His work covers the research of farms and their successes in the management of the former parish of Scheeßel. This includes several village chronicles and essays in various local history forums.
In his work misused & burned , published in 2009, the hobby historian deals with the Rotenburg witch trials from 1588 to 1671 from a historical perspective and makes corresponding source material accessible. In his historical novels Gretge 2009, Tibke 2010, Anna 2011 and Mette 2012, he takes up the fate of women who were accused and convicted of witches in Rotenburg in 1664 and 1665.
