Jürgen Krieghoff

Jürgen Krieghoff (* 1943 in Braunschweig ) is a German diplomat and was Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Naples from August 2004 to summer 2006 and German Ambassador to Saudi Arabia from summer 2006 to August 2008 .

Life

After studying musicology at the University of Cologne, he first studied law at the University of Bonn and later studied administration in Paris.

After joining the Foreign Service in 1974, he was employed at the Foreign Office and at the embassies of the Federal Republic of Germany in the United Kingdom , Venezuela , Portugal and Italy . In 2001 he became ambassador to Uruguay , as such he opened the Centro educativo Los Pinos in September 2002, a cooperation institution with Opus Dei in Casavalle, a suburb of Montevideo . and in April 2003 he presented the meteorological laboratory of the Administración Nacional de Usinas y Trasmisiones Eléctricas with a certificate from the German Calibration Service .
