Jürgen Maune , actually Hans-Jürgen Maune , (born June 7, 1947 in Meißen ) is a former volleyball player from the GDR .

Maune started with volleyball in Meissen and then moved to Berlin to the TSC . In 1969 he was delegated to SC Leipzig , with whom he won seven GDR championship titles from 1970 to 1976.

During his time at TSC Berlin, Maune had played in the junior national team and in the B national team. From 1969 Maune played in the GDR national team . Right at the beginning of his international career, he won the Volleyball World Cup in 1969 and the following year he was there when the GDR team won the title at the 1970 World Cup in Bulgaria. After a fourth place at the European Championships in 1971 , the GDR team reached the final at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and received the silver medal after the final defeat against the Japanese team .

Maune was a trained electrician and studied at the DHfK during his active time in Leipzig . After he had to end his career because of a serious injury in the 1975/76 season, the qualified sports teacher worked at a vocational school and later at the Leipzig sports high school.
