Career

Offensive player Crescio, who was used in the position of the center forward, began his career at Bella Vista . In 1953 he played alongside Atilio García at Club Misiones, based in Paysandú . In 1958 he was under contract with the Argentinian club Boca Juniors . There he made his debut in a 2-2 ending friendly game against Vasco da Gama on January 21, 1958. He then made his official debut at the Copa Suecia on April 27, 1958 in the 3-0 defeat by Newell's Old Boys . On June 14, 1958, he came in the same tournament for the last time for the Boca Juniors in the 0-1 defeat against Newell's. He then belonged to the squad of Club Atlético Peñarol in the Primera División from 1959 to 1961 . However, his name is no longer listed in other sources in the line-up of the 1961 team. His club won the Uruguayan Championship in the 1959 , 1960 and 1961 seasons. In 1960 and 1961, his club also won the Copa Libertadores, which at the time was still known as the Copa Campeones de América . In the 1960 competition he was first used in one of the semi-finals against San Lorenzo as a substitute for Oscar Leicht . In the first leg of the final against Club Olimpia , coach Roberto Scarone put him in the starting line-up. In some cases - in contradiction to other sources that show that José Mario Griecco was playing - his participation as a starting eleven was also reported for the second leg. A use at the 1961 tournament is not recorded. In the games for the World Cup in 1960 and 1961 , he was also not taken into account. In 1960 his club was defeated by Real Madrid . In 1961, the Montevideans won the cup against Benfica Lisbon .

Other career stations in Crescios were Liverpool Montevideo , Montevideo Wanderers and Sud América .
