Jürgen Presser

Jürgen Presser (born February 7, 1950 in Neunkirchen ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

After graduating from high school in 1968, Presser volunteered for military service and became a temporary soldier . He then studied business administration and worked in the insurance industry. Most recently he was branch manager of Saarland Insurance .

Presser has been a member of the CDU since 1972. From 1974 to 1979 he was a member of the Neunkirchen district council. Since 1990 he has been the Saarland regional chairman of the medium-sized and business association of the CDU / CSU (MIT), and since 1997 its deputy federal chairman. In 1994, Presser succeeded Klaus Töpfer in the state parliament of Saarland , who did not accept his mandate. After a total of two legislative terms, he failed to return to parliament in the 2004 election.

From 1997 to 2008, Presser volunteered as chairman of the Friends' Association of the Saarland School of Masters and Technicians. For this, he was awarded the golden badge of honor by the Saarland Chamber of Crafts .
