Jürgen Reuland

Jürgen Reuland (born November 26, 1945 ) is a German table tennis player . He became German champion in doubles, senior European champion in doubles and senior world champion in singles.

Career

Reuland reached the final at the German youth championships in 1963 in doubles with H. Grobe. In the same year he moved from TTC Rot-Weiß Düsseldorf to Borussia Düsseldorf . He played in the Bundesliga with his men's team and was German team champion in 1968/69 and 1969/70. In 1966 he won the National German Championship in doubles together with Wilfried Lieck .

In 2006 he became senior world champion in Bremen in the age group over 60. He switched off Shigeo Itō , the world champion of 1969, Herbert Neubauer , Niels Ramberg and in the final Dragutin Šurbek . With Wilfried Lieck he took bronze in doubles. In 2007 the Reuland / Lieck doubles became European Senior Champions in Rotterdam.

After he left Borussia Düsseldorf in 1970, he played for several clubs, often in divisions below the Bundesliga:
