Jürgen Schweinfurth

Jürgen Schweinfurth (born April 28, 1935 in Fürstenwalde / Spree ; † June 4, 2016 ) was a lawyer and former politician of the FDP in Bremen .

education and profession

Jürgen Schweinfurth initially worked in mining in Mülheim an der Ruhr after obtaining his secondary school leaving certificate in 1951 . In 1957 he made up his Abitur and studied law from 1958 to 1962. After the second state examination, he was employed in the administration of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen from 1967 .

Political party

Schweinfurth had been a member of the FDP since 1962. From 1964 to 1968 he was chairman of the Bremen Regional Association of German Young Democrats (DJD). In the 1969 federal election he ran for the constituency of Bremen-Ost . Between 1968 and 1980 he was part of the state board of the FDP Bremen . From 1977 to 1980 he was a member of the party's national executive committee .
