Jürgen Weber (historian)

Jürgen Weber (* 1944 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German historian and political scientist .

Life

Weber studied political science, history and Romance studies at the universities of Mainz and Strasbourg from 1965 to 1971. With the work The Council of Europe and Eastern Europe. Development, problems and possibilities of the Eastern European policy of the Strasbourg organization followed in 1971 at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz the doctorate to Dr. phil.

From 1971 to 2009 he worked at the Academy for Political Education in Tutzing, initially as a research assistant and from 1975 as a lecturer . From 1975 to 1982 he was also a lecturer at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

He has published numerous articles, most of which deal with German history after 1945.
