Jürgen von Gerlach

Jürgen von Gerlach (born September 19, 1936 in Kiel ) was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from November 26, 1986 until he retired on September 30, 2001 .

After completing his legal training and doctorate , von Gerlach initially worked in business and for a short time as a lawyer , before joining the judicial service of the State of Hesse as a court assessor in 1967 . From 1967 to 1969 he was seconded to Heidelberg University as a research assistant . In 1969 the appointment of v. Gerlachs to the District Court Councilor , which office he held at the Darmstadt District Court . From 1972 to 1986 he worked as a judge at the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt am Main .

After his appointment as judge at the Federal Court of Justice, the Presidium initially assigned him to the 1st Criminal Senate of the Federal Court of Justice ; at the same time, von Gerlach worked as an investigative judge at the Federal Court of Justice. In March 1991 von Gerlach then moved to the VI. Civil Senate, of which he was a member until he retired.
