J. Watson Webb Jr.
J. Watson Webb Jr. (real name: James Watson Webb III, born January 9, 1916 in Syosset, New York , † June 10, 2000 in Los Angeles ) was an American film editor and museum director.
James Watson Webb was born in 1916 to Electra Havemeyer Webb and James Watson Webb II. After studying at Yale University until 1938 , he worked as a film editor for 20th Century Fox . He was responsible for editing 31 productions.
After his mother's death in 1960, he became president of the Shelburne Museum in Vermont, which she founded . From 1977 to 1997 he was chairman of the museum's board of directors.
