The MÁV TV , from 1911 MÁV series 375 , was a tank locomotive series of the Hungarian State Railways MÁV for branch line traffic . The steam locomotive was considered to be one of the most tried and tested tank locomotives on the Hungarian branch lines and was built in a total of 596 copies at MÁVAG in Budapest between 1907 and 1959 . Largely structurally identical locomotives were also delivered to the Austro-Hungarian Military Railway Banjaluka – Dobrlin , the Czechoslovak State Railway ČSD, the Romanian CFR and the Yugoslavian Railways JDŽ. During the long procurement period, several construction variants ranging from composite to low-pressure steam engines were built. There were also several design changes, so all machines at ČSD were retrofitted with superheaters.
The 375 series at other railway administrations
58 locomotives of the MÁV 375 series remained in the newly founded Czechoslovakia after 1918 . The Czechoslovak State Railways ČSD gave the locomotives the new series designation 331.0 from 1924. In the ČSD network, the locomotives could only be seen on Slovak territory. They took care of all the traffic on the Bratislava - Dunajská Streda - Komárno route . Their design was a model for the locomotives 423.0 and 433.0 that were built between the world wars . In 1970, the last eight Maďarka machines were taken out of service.
The 331.037 was preserved as a museum locomotive and was made operational in 1988 with parts of the 331.019. At present (2006) it is in the depot of Bratislava issued -Vychod as operably exhibit.
Other copies drove on the railways of Yugoslavia , Romania and the Raab-Ödenburg-Ebenfurter Eisenbahn . The locomotives of the Austro-Hungarian military railway Banjaluka – Dobrlin were given the numbers 155-001–003 in Yugoslavia in 1933 and were renamed the 51 series in 1938. Specimens have been preserved in all states of the operational area.
