JK Eesti Põlevkivi Jõhvi , also called EP Jõhvi , was an Estonian football club from the city of Jõhvi . The association was founded in 1974 and dissolved in 1999.

history

The club was originally founded in 1974 under the name of Jõhvi Eesti . In 1977 the club began playing in the Estonian SSR League. The club's greatest success was winning the championship in 1984. In 1987 the club merged with RMT and played under the name Estonia / RMT for two years . In 1989 the club was renamed again and this time called Estonia Jõhvi . But this name was not kept for long either, in 1991 the club was renamed JK Eesti Polevkivi Eesti Jõhvi due to a sponsorship agreement with an oil company .

In 1996 the team was able to reach the cup final, but where they lost 2-0 to Tallinna Sadam . In 1999 you had to be relegated as the last place, the club was dissolved after relegation.
