Jaan Patterson (* 23. October 1975 , in Heidelberg , Germany ) is a composer , poet , and founder and operator of the Netlabels Surrism phono Ethics . He is known for his Dada and Surrealism influenced multimedia projects in experimental music, video and the spoken word.

life and work

His pseudonym Undress Béton is a tribute to André Breton , co-founder of the movement to Surrealism. Patterson also works with Frater Surrallee on improvised music projects called Surrism. Patterson's music has been played by many free non-commercial broadcasters and internet radio stations , such as Resonance 104.4 FM , WFMU , NTNS Radio and L'étranger, Radio Panik. Since 2009 Jaan Patterson has worked as a curator with Anthony Donovan (Murmurists) on the net label Classwar Karaoke, which appears quarterly and publishes works by experimental film and sound artists from all over the world. There were collaborations with Anthony Donovan & Classwar Karaoke, AG Davis, Commissioner Hjuler , Hopek Quirin, Alessandra Celletti, William Davison (Recordism), Jochen Arbeit ( Einstürzende Neubauten ) & Vania Rovisco, Jeremy Gluck (The Barracudas), John M. Bennett, Lee Kwo & PostVerbal, Bryan Lewis Saunders, Carmen Racovitza, J. Karl Bogartte, Leif Elggren, Dada AG, Yoshihiro Kikuchi, John Hyatt (The Three Johns) and Kosta T.
