Jaani Peuhu
Jaani Peuhu (born August 17, 1978 in Anjalankoski ) is a Finnish musician, producer and songwriter. He is the founder and lead singer of the Finnish band Iconcrash and is currently working on his first solo album. He currently lives in Helsinki , Finland .
biography
Jaani Peuhu was born in Anjalankoski, Finland, to Kari Peuhu, a jazz musician, and Heli Ahoniitty, a photographer. He started playing the piano at the age of 7 and learned drums a year later. At the age of 13 he formed his first band called Chaosland. A year later he made his first appearance in Ruovesi.
Jaani Peuhu played drums in various bands, including Scarlet Youth, Varjo, Deadbabes, Myyt, Mary-Ann, Billy-Goats, Jalankulkuämpäri, Kinetic and Vuk.
In 2004 he started his own band project when he released his first album as a singer / songwriter under the name Iconcrash. Jaani Peuhu has also worked as a producer and guest musician with artists such as Before the Dawn , Swallow The Sun, To / Die / For , Thunderstone , Wiidakko and Anna Eriksson .
Since Iconcrash's first album Nude , which was released in 2005, he has been to the UK, Finland, Russia, Germany, Italy, the Baltic States and the United States with his band. In September 2012 he announced that he was currently working on his debut solo album in London and Helsinki.
Awards
Iconcrash's song We are the night made it into the final of the UMK (ESC) in 2012. In 2009, Jaani Peuhu and Pauli Rantasalmi from the band The Rasmus wrote the song 10,000 Light Years for the band Kwan , which made it into the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest in Finland.
