Jacó Roberto Hilgert

Jacó Roberto Hilgert (born January 27, 1926 in Harmonia , Rio Grande do Sul ) is a Brazilian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Cruz Alta .

Life

Jacó Roberto Hilgert was ordained a priest on November 30, 1952 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on July 19, 1976 Bishop of Cruz Alta . The Archbishop of Porto Alegre , Cardinal Alfredo Vicente Scherer , donated him episcopal ordination on September 26th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were João Cláudio Colling , Bishop of Passo Fundo , and José Ivo Lorscheiter , Bishop of Santa Maria .

On May 8, 2002, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
