Jack Beaumont

Jack Robert A. Beaumont (born November 21, 1993 in Maidenhead ) is a British rower .

Athletic career

Jack Beaumont finished fourth at the 2010 Junior World Championships with the double scull , and in 2011 he finished seventh. At the U23 World Championships in 2012 he was seventh in the double scull, and in 2013 he rowed the double scull to fourth place. He won his first international medal with Angus Groom in a double scull at the U23 World Championships in 2014 , when the two Brits received bronze behind the French and Lithuanians.

In 2015, Beaumont won its first international adult medal. At the 2015 European Championships in Poznan, Jack Beaumont, Sam Townsend , Graeme Thomas and Peter Lambert took third place in the four-four behind the boats from Russia and Ukraine. At the U23 World Championships in 2015 , Beaumont finished fifth in the single . In 2016 he competed in the Rowing World Cup in two and one. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Beaumont was nominated as a substitute rower, but then moved into the quadruple scull for the sick Graeme Thomas. At the Olympic Regatta Angus Groom, Peter Lambert, Sam Townsend and Jack Beaumont took fourth place in the preliminary run. and reached the finals as second in the repechage, where they finished fifth.

At the 2017 European Championships , Thomas Barras , Jack Beaumont, Jonathan Walton and Peter Lambert rowed to fourth place, 0.25 seconds behind the third-placed Italians. Four months later, at the 2017 World Championships , John Collins was in double fours for Thomas Barras. Beaumont, Walton, Collins and Lambert won the silver medal behind the Lithuanians, 0.29 seconds ahead of the third-placed Estonians. In 2018 Beaumont competed in a double scull with Harry Leask . The two won the bronze medal behind the French and Romanians at the 2018 European Championships . At the 2018 World Championships , Angus Groom and Jack Beaumont finished fourth, 1.32 seconds behind the third-placed New Zealanders. In 2019 Beaumont returned to the double fours. At the 2019 European Championships, the Dutch won ahead of the Italians, with Beaumont, Walton, Groom and Lambert taking bronze medals behind them. The four Brits, on the other hand, missed the A final at the 2019 World Championships and finished eighth.
