The Pistiros Lake ( English ; Bulgarian езеро Пистирос esero Pistiros ) is a slightly curved, south-rectangular, west-east orientation 320 m long, 90 m wide and 2.42 hectares large lake on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Byers Peninsula , it is 900 m east of Laager Point and 2.08 km south of Ocoa Point on President Beaches . It is separated from New Plymouth Bay by a strip of land 20 to 35 m wide.
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2020 after the ancient trading post of Pistiros in southern Bulgaria .
