Jack Wagner (born October 3, 1959 in Washington , Missouri ) is an American actor and singer .

Life & Career

Wagner spent his childhood in Missouri, where he attended acting and golf courses. Wagner won the golf championship in Missouri and applied for a golf scholarship in Arizona , but was rejected. He then went to Los Angeles in 1982 after graduating in theater studies . There he made his breakthrough in the role of Andrew "Frisco" Jones in the series General Hospital (1983–1988, 1989–1991, 1994, 1995). In this role, Wagner encouraged another passion of his: singing. "Friscos" song All I Need became a number 2 hit in the US.

In 1987 Wagner left the series and appeared in the theater, but returned to the General Hospital in 1989 . There he fell in love with his series partner Felicia Cummings alias Kristina Malandro and the couple married in 1993. Before that, in 1991, Wagner left the series, but returned to the series for guest appearances in 1994 and 1995.

1991 Wagner got into the TV series California Clan (original title: Santa Barbara ). There he played the role of Warren Lockridge until the series was discontinued in January 1993.

In 1995 Wagner rose as Dr. Peter Burns entered Melrose Place and was there until the series ended in 1999. There he also directed several episodes . After the series was discontinued, Wagner appeared in several other series as a guest actor and hosted golf programs.

From 2003 to 2012 Wagner stood in front of the camera for Reich und Schön as Nick Payne . Wagner's enthusiasm for singing was incorporated into the series and so Wagner was able to introduce songs from his album Dancing In The Moonlight .

In 2006 Wagner received the golden rose for best soap actor.

Wagner has two sons, Peter (* 1990) and Harrison (* 1994). He is now divorced. A relationship with fellow actress Heather Locklear , which had existed since 2007, was broken in November 2011 through an engagement.
