Jackson Center is a village in Shelby County , Ohio , United States . It is in the northeast of the county. Jackson Center is located on Ohio State Route 65 and Ohio State Route 274 . It is 7 miles to Interstate 75 . It is 10 miles to Indian Lake and 15 miles to Wapakoneta and Sidney .
history
Jackson Center was founded on May 4, 1835 with 24 buildings. At that time a general store, a blacksmith, a shoemaker and a "hotel", as well as a few other shops, were located in the village. The first church was built by the Methodists in 1838 . In June 1895 a bank was established under the name The Farmer's & Merchants Bank . It was renamed the First National Bank of Jackson in 1907 .
