Jacob Collard (born April 12, 1995 in Western Australia ) is an Australian football player .
Career
Aboriginal native Collard, who was born in Western Australia , began playing football at Gosnells City and Perth SC before joining the Western Australia National Training Center in 2010.
In October 2010 he won the title at the national youth championships with the Western Australian U-15 selection, this was the first success for a Western Australian selection in over 30 years of tournament history. In December 2010 he finished 2nd at a tournament of the Australian sports institutes with the NTC and was elected to the all-star team of the tournament. The former midfielder has played in the Perth Glory youth team since 2011 . As a central defender, he has led the team as captain since 2013 and was voted the club's best player in the youth team in both 2014 and 2015. In the 2015 season, he missed winning the National Youth League title by losing to Brisbane Roar on the last day of the game .
Collard made his debut for the professional team from Perth Glory by substitution in August 2015 in the first round match of the FFA Cup against the Newcastle Jets . On January 9, 2016, he played in the game against Adelaide United for the first time in the A-League , a week later he was sent off in his second league appearance for hitting the ball after about an hour of play against Melbourne City with a yellow-red. After he was subsequently not offered a professional contract, he moved to Hobart Olympia in the National Premier Leagues Tasmania in March 2016 .
