The Jacobel Glacier is a 50 kilometer long glacier on the Saunders coast of Marie Byrd Land in western Antarctica . It flows south of the Hershey Ridge into the Sulzberger Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2003 after the American physicist Robert W. Jacobel (* 1946) from St. Olaf College , who had explored the Antarctic since the 1980s.
