Countess Jacquette Löwenhielm (born as Countess Gustava Charlotta Jaquette Aurora Gyldenstolpe ; born July 4, 1797 in Stockholm , † January 7, 1839 in Constantinople ) was a Swedish noblewoman and mistress of the Crown Prince and later King Oskar I of Sweden and Norway .

Life

Jaquette was a daughter of Major General Nils Wexionius, 5th Count Gyldenstolpe (1768-1844), and his wife, the Baroness Charlotta Aurora De Geer (1779-1834).

She was married to the later Lieutenant General Count Karl Gustav Löwenhielm (1790–1839) since September 18, 1817 . The then Crown Prince Oskar (1799-1859) made Countess Jaquette his mistress in 1819, which she - with her husband's approval - remained for four years. A daughter, Oskaria (* 1819), emerged from the relationship with the Swedish prince. The child was given to foster parents who later adopted it . After Oscar's marriage in 1823 to Princess Joséphine von Leuchtenberg (1807–1876), the liaison ended.

Countess Löwenhielm's marriage was divorced in 1829. On August 21, 1838, she entered into a new connection with the Finnish Baron Uno von Troil (1803-1858). The couple moved to Turkey because their husband was given a diplomatic post in Constantinople .
