Jagdstern

A hunting rating is an element from the baroque Landscaping, it represents the center of a system of a star shape leading sight lines and lanes represent. Hunting star served the outline and the opening of a hunting ground for the Parforcejagd and other forms of hunting . In their geometrical structure, they were an extension of the baroque gardens reaching into the hallway .

Hunting stars were located outside of a residential district without utility buildings in an area rich in game; in a special form, they were converted into habitable hunting lodges with a hunting lodge and farm buildings. Examples are the Clemenswerth Castle in Emsland and the Stern Castle in Brandenburg .
