The Yearbook for Liturgy and Hymnology (JLH) is a scientific periodical with essays, reports and reviews on liturgy and hymnology from an Evangelical-Lutheran perspective on an ecumenical horizon.

It is published by a currently (2019) eight-member group of editors in conjunction with the International Working Group for Hymnology , the Interdisciplinary Working Group on Hymn Book Research Mainz , the Liturgy Institute Leipzig and the Liturgical Conference .

The first edition appeared in 1955 under the responsibility of Konrad Ameln , Christhard Mahrenholz and Karl Ferdinand Müller , at that time in the Johannes Stauda publishing house. The years 1988–1994 were published by the Lutheran Verlagshaus . The yearbook has been part of the Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht publishing program since 1995 .
