Jakaba is a town in the West African state of Gambia .
According to a calculation for 2013, there are around 916 inhabitants, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 681.

Jakaba, in the Central River Region in the Niani District on the northern bank of the Gambia River, is about 1.4 kilometers southwest of the North Bank Road , an important highway in Gambia. Jakaba is on a road that leads southwest to Barajally via Sukuta .
