Jakob Ballensiefen (born December 7, 1896 in Siegburg , † August 18, 1972 ) was a German politician ( center , CDU ).

Jakob Ballensiefen attended elementary school and evening courses. After completing an apprenticeship as a locksmith, he worked in various companies. Ballensiefen was a member of the supervisory board of Klöckner-Werke AG., Duisburg. From 1913 he was a member of the union. From 1926 to 1933 he served as the youth leader of the union in the Siegkreis. Later he was a member of the local committee of the metal industry union , Siegburg.

politics

Jakob Ballensiefen was a member of the Center Party from 1921 to 1933. He was one of the initiators of the re-establishment of the Center Party in Siegburg and from 1946 a member of the main board of the German Center Party. On March 24, 1958, after a coalition crisis in the SPD / FDP / center government in North Rhine-Westphalia , he joined the CDU together with Ignaz Lünenborg , Eberhard Nickel , Peter Tollmann , Heinrich Warczak and Josef Weber .

Ballensiefen was from April 20, 1947 to July 4, 1954 and from December 16, 1957, when he replaced the late MP Heinrich Peterburs , to July 12, 1958 a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was always elected from the centre's national list.
