Jacob Cappelbeck (* 1506 in Augsburg ; † January 14, 1586 in Tübingen ) was a German lawyer.

Life

Jacob Cappelbeck studied in Ingolstadt and Leipzig . He enrolled in Wittenberg in 1533 and received the Mag. Art. In 1536 he enrolled in Tübingen. He was in Ferrara for Dr. iur. utr. PhD. In 1543 he followed a call as a professor of law in Tübingen. 1556, 1561, 1567, 1571 and 1577/78 was rector of the University of Tübingen. 1554 / 55–1556 / 57 he was Supremus Deputatus . In 1584 he gave up his offices. His portrait, painted in 1604, hangs in the Tübingen professors' gallery .
