Jakob Friedrich Bengel (born October 27, 1817 in Rappenau ; † July 9, 1878 ) was an innkeeper and mayor in Treschklingen and a member of the Baden state parliament .

Life

Jakob Friedrich Bengel was the son of the Rappenauer Kronenwirt Friedrich Josias Bengel and Katharina born. Teaching He married Katharina Elisabetha Klemm in Rappenau in 1840. Bengel was initially a saline owner in Rappenau. After the death of his first wife, in 1853 he married the widow of the Treschklingen sun host Christoph Ludwig König, Katharina Sophie König b. Schmidt. He took over the Gasthaus zur Sonne in Treschklingen and became council clerk there, and from 1870 mayor. In 1871 he was also elected to the Baden state parliament as a member of the Sinsheim constituency. He held the office of mayor and deputy until his death in 1878.

For his participation in the collective exhibition of the Centralstelle of the Agricultural Association for the Grand Duchy of Baden , he was awarded the Progress Medal at the World Exhibition in Vienna in 1873 .
