Jacques "Jakob" Person (born May 1, 1889 in Zabern , Alsace-Lorraine (now France ), † July 15, 1915 in Poland ) was a German athlete .

Jakob Person completed an apprenticeship as an economist . In addition to his studies, he was active as a track and field athlete. Due to his achievements he was appointed to the Olympic squad in Germany to take part in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm . He competed in the 400 and 800 meter competitions . He reached the semifinals over 400 meters. However, he could not finish his semi-final run. Over 800 meters he was eliminated in the first lap.

During the First World War he served in the 7th Thuringian Infantry Regiment No. 96. On July 15, 1915, he was killed in fighting on the Eastern Front in Poland.
