Jakob Sitzler

Jakob Sitzler (born February 23, 1851 in Eppingen ; † September 21, 1927 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German classical philologist and high school teacher.

Life

He was initially a teacher at the grammar school in Tauberbischofsheim . From 1904 to 1917 he was director of the Friedrich-Gymnasium in Freiburg i. Br.

In 1896 he received the Baden Order of the Zähringer Lion, 2nd class, and in 1906 the Order of the Zähringer Lion, 1st class with oak leaves.

His son was the labor lawyer Friedrich Sitzler .
