Jakob Stebler
Jakob Stebler (born December 16, 1898 in Altstetten , † October 24, 1985 in Bern ) was a Swiss playwright .
He published his first one-act play in 1920. Over the decades, this was followed by around 150 often humorous one-act plays and sketches such as mixed-up comedies and military cocks , but also thrillers and contemplative works on time problems.
Stebler, who worked as a civil servant at the PTT until his retirement in 1963 , was one of the most played authors in Swiss folk theater .
