Jakob Sturm von Sturmeck (Chancellor)
Jakob Sturm von Sturmeck (also Jacob Sturm von Sturmeck ; p. 1617; † 1633 on Ruperti Island ) was Chancellor of the University of Strasbourg .
Jakob Sturm von Sturmeck came from the noble Strasbourg family Sturm von Sturmeck . From 1617 he was a member of the council of the city of Strasbourg and in the following year 1618 was admitted to the committee of the Quindecimvir . From 1624 he held the office of city judge and was elected chancellor and scholarch of the University of Strasbourg on January 14, 1626 , which his ancestor, Jakob Sturm von Sturmeck , founded as a grammar school. Jakob Sturm von Sturmeck died of the plague on Ruperti Island in 1633 .
