Jakob Thanisch
Jakob Thanisch (also: Thanitsch ; * April 8, 1837 in Trier ; † January 17, 1894 ibid) was a Roman Catholic clergyman, rector and member of the Reichstag .
After studying at the Episcopal Seminary in Trier , he was ordained a priest in 1861 . From 1862 to 1865 Thanisch was chaplain or vicar in Trier and in 1865 pastor in Wawern . 1865-1867 he studied in Rome and a doctorate to Dr. theol. In 1867 he became rector in Konz-Karthaus and in 1873 pastor in Linz am Rhein . As a member of the Center Party , Thanisch was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Trier-Stadt from 1871 to 1874 .
