Jakonett

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jakonnet, Jaconet , Jaconett , or Jaconnet (derived from the French "Jaconas") is a white, fine, loose, smoothly woven cotton fabric between muslin and batiste .

It is similar to a soft lining, filled with a finishing compound on one side, and a bougram . It is used as an intermediate lining for women's clothing and as a pricking material for fur goods, it is also used in the toy industry and for leather goods and as a jacquard tape in electrical engineering.

As a material for women's clothing, it probably originally came from Glasgow in Scotland , later from France and also from Germany , for example from Plauen .
