James Anderson (born September 17, 1894 in Enfield , New South Wales , Australia , † December 22, 1973 in Sydney ) was an Australian tennis player .

He won the men's singles at the Australian Championships in 1922, 1924 and 1925. In 1922 and 1924 he was also successful in men's doubles.

At Wimbledon in 1922 he won the double title together with Randolph Lycett .

From 1920 to 1925 Anderson was in the Australian Davis Cup team for use. He played a total of 36 matches, of which he won 28.
