James Augustine (born February 27, 1984 in Midlothian, Illinois ) is an American basketball player. He plays for the Russian club CSKA Moscow in the position of power forward .

Career

college

Augustine played for the University of Illinois basketball team for four years . As a newcomer, he immediately joined the start team. During his college years, he set a number of club records. In the 2005/06 season he was nominated to the Big Ten Conference 1st Team.

professional

Augustine was selected 41st in the 2006 NBA Draft. He played two seasons in the NBA for Orlando Magic . At the same time he was used in NBDL for Anaheim Arsenal and scored four double-double in eight games . He then moved to Spain. Augustine initially played for CB Gran Canaria for two years . In the 2009/10 season he reached the quarter-finals of the ULEB Eurocup with Gran Canaria and was elected to the All-Eurocup second team. During the 2010/11 season Augustine played for Power Electronics Valencia . With Valencia he played in the ULEB Euroleague and reached the Top16 there. He then went to UCAM Murcia for a year . At the beginning of the 2012/13 season Augustine signed a contract with the Russian BK Chimki . With Chimki he again reached the TOP16 of the Euroleague in the 2012/13 season.
