James Biederman
James Biederman (* 1947 in New York City ) is an American painter , sculptor and draftsman .
life and work
Biederman studied at Yale University and graduated in 1973 with a master's degree . From 1970 to 1971 he participated in the Independent Study Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art . From 1998 to 2004 he founded and directed the N3 Project Space - Williamsburg , Brooklyn . He taught at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke from 2007 to 2012 and was appointed as visiting professor at various American universities.
James Biederman paints and draws gestural . In 1982, at documenta 7 in Kassel, he exhibited wooden objects with the titles Kurzer Halt and Klippe of the unhappy lovers .
